An Author's Hustle

An Author’s Hustle is a raw, unfiltered journey through the chaotic, dangerous, and unforgettable life of Jade “Bandita” Holloway—a girl born into dysfunction who refuses to become a victim of it.

From the moment Bandita witnesses her father’s violent addiction and her mother’s relentless struggle to raise five girls alone, she learns one truth early: survival doesn’t come with instructions. As a child, she becomes the quiet observer of the chaos around her—drug abuse, poverty, instability, and betrayal. But by her teenage years, survival turns into hustle.

Bandita is swept into a world of boosting, juggling jobs, drug-dealing boyfriends, crooked cops, and shady opportunities. She becomes a mother young, a thief by necessity, a hustler by environment, and eventually a mastermind—running schemes that range from credit card scams to counterfeit operations, drug sales to makeshift brothels, and everything in between.

Every time Bandita climbs her way out of one mess, another storm pulls her back in. Yet through all the madness—the violence, heartbreak, addiction, loss, and the fast money—she keeps fighting to stay ahead of the streets that raised her. She provides for her son, supports her family, and tries to break the generational curses threatening to swallow her whole.

But when bodies go missing, the drug world shifts, and the police turn their eye toward her door, Bandita is forced to decide: will she keep hustling, or risk everything for a chance at a different life?

An Author’s Hustle is a gritty, emotional, and deeply human story about a woman who refuses to fold—even when the world seems designed to break her. It’s a powerful narrative of survival, resilience, trauma, and the thin line between choice and circumstance.
